Weekend Recap

Okay, I know it's a little lame to do a weekend recap on a Tuesday, but I haven't finished G's twenty-one month post yet and don't have much else at the moment.  Lame-o, but here I go...

I took off work on Friday and kept G at home to keep on eye on him post surgery.  He was running a low grade fever and I wasn't quite ready to throw him back into the trenches.

"We" decided that some retail therapy was in order, so we trucked it over to Target.  My secret to keeping G happy in the cart?  The traditional red bag of popcorn does the trick every time.  Guilty mama right here, but it's a special treat.  At least that's how I justify it to myself.  :)

Target shopping is some serious business, yo!

After Target, G did some redecorating and then we shared a popsicle outside.  I decided to be super wife and made R a nice dinner.  I should note that I also made G a nice dinner, but he decided to throw it on the floor instead of eating.  Awesome.

Poor buddy still had a bit of a crusty, bloody nose from the procedure.  Bleh!

You know you're classy when you drink your wine out of a regular glass!

Saturday evening we were honored to celebrate the tenth wedding anniversary of good friends.  They hosted an awesome dinner party at a highly touted sushi place that I've been dying to go to ever since watching Paul Qui win Top Chef on tv.

Sunday morning I woke up and my terrible headache reminded me that I'm not 21 anymore and perhaps had a little too much fun.  Luckily R is a super dad and let me catch a few more hours of sleep before tackling the day.

Yummmmm... this grilled cheese was the PERFECT hangover headache cure!  Nom nom nom.

G enjoyed his pancakes :)

We were on a mission to play a little practical joke on some good friends (more on that later!).

Then on the way home after a very long day, we got a call letting us know that we had just received our first offer on our house!


All in all, a pretty fantastic weekend.  Life is good!  xoxoxo
