Our cozy roost, kitchen edition

I'm heading back to Kelly's Korner to link up for her home tour.  This week it's "Show us your life - kitchens"!

Now that our house is on the market and we are house hunting, a kitchen is a "make it or break it" for me.  It is one of the most important rooms in the house (personal opinion) and is where I spend a lot of my time -- even if I'm not making fancy, gourmet meals.

Again, I love that I can be in our kitchen and see what G is up to ... as long as we are downstairs and he's not playing in the laundry room or powder bath.  :)

These pictures were professionally taken for our house listing, so of course you don't see the everyday normal clutter from our life with a toddler.  :)

When we had our major home remodel a couple of years ago, the kitchen was at the top of our list.  R actually picked out mostly everything because I was either too pregnant or too tired from dealing with a newborn to care.  Luckily for me, he has excellent taste and I love all the new changes!  We had almost everything redone from the countertops, backsplash, island, new appliances, sink, etc.  I only wish I would have taken "before" pictures to show the huge difference.

We haven't entertained as often as I would like to, but I do love having a double oven for those times when you need it!  My other favorite feature is the wine fridge R had installed in the pantry.

If we do end up staying here, the only changes I would like to make would be to add cabinet pulls and cabinet pull-out organizers for all of our pots and pans.  Something to ask Santa for!  ;)
