Our cozy roost, living room edition

I'm a newbie to Kelly's Korner link ups but thought this would be a fun one to join.  This week she is doing a "Show us your life - living room!"

P.S. That chica has a crazy following, i.e. lots o' peeps that read her blog.

Anyway, without further ado.... our cozy little roost.

*All of the above pictures taken by James Bruce Photography*

We actually spend more time downstairs even though it's not the biggest space.  Since we have our house on the market, most all of G's toys are put away either in the big armoire next to the fireplace or in the closet under the stairs.  He definitely knows where they are and pulls them out on his own (well, luckily he can't open the armoire yet).  The new norm now, though, is to occupy himself by pulling things out of the few kitchen drawers and cabinets that aren't baby proofed.

The staging lady really showed us how to open up this space and make it much more usable and less cluttered.  We took out several big pieces of furniture and it has made a big difference!

The flow of the downstairs is, for lack of a better word, open -- when you walk in the front door you immediately see the living room, which connects to our "dining room" eating space and then the kitchen.

1.  View from front door
2. Looking from the dining table
3. Looking towards the entryway/front door
4. Close up of the couch

*Side note: I had to take away all of the personal pictures and touches when we put the house on the market to make it look more approachable to potential buyers.*

As a mama, I love being able to see everything from the kitchen and see what kind of trouble the little mister is getting himself into.  :)

But most importantly...
