Since our little nugget is due in October, we have made the executive decision to go to upstate NY for a weekend (where we are having our wedding) and try out some caterers. Our wedding isn't until next summer, but we figure we might be just a tad bit busy with a newborn and three year old to try and iron out these important details if we wait.
Whew, this wedding biz is no joke. And I thought kids were expensive! (P.S. They are!) Once I start adding things up in my head, I start panicking a little at the thought of all of that money ... for one night. Ahhh! Part of me wants to just do something über simple and save that dough for a future adoption. Trust me, I love weddings, but I do not love spending so much money for one night. I would rather take a handful of amazing vacations, put it in a college fund for G, adopt our future third child, etc.
Sooooo, with that being said, does anyone out there have any tips on ways to cut costs when planning a wedding?? Good food is really important to R, so that is one area we are willing to splurge.
