Life lately

It is crazy to think that Easter just happened (in March, nonetheless).  Goodbye March, hello April!

*G is at such a fun age right now, although he does have plenty of frustrating times as well.  :)  Lately he has been super clingy and upset whenever we have gone to gymnastics (where I do the class with him) or when I drop him off at school.  He normally loves both of these places, so I'm at a loss as to why he is suddenly feeling so insecure?  He told me this morning through tears, "No sook (school)!"

Oh, the drama!
*He also loves to take with him to sleep whatever he is particularly enthralled with on that given day.  Last week it was cupcake and cookie mix boxes that we had just bought for making Easter treats.  He did not want to wait for Easter, so I gave in and we made the cookies.  I told him the cupcakes would come later.

*We busted out the Easter eggs and practiced our egg hunt skills in the house.  Let's just say that he is more fond of what's inside the egg than the number of eggs he finds.  His approach is: find, open, eat, and discard the egg on the floor.  Our neighborhood had a nice little egg hunt and petting zoo a couple of weekends ago, and he was so excited to find the eggs.  I didn't get any pictures of him then because I was too busy holding his basket and running alongside him.  I did, however, snap some pictures of him with the cute bunnies.

Please excuse the red eyes and blurry hands.
*My older sis is a rock star and raised over $5,000 for cancer research by participating in St. Baldrick's.  March 23rd was the official conclusion, and she donated her hair to Locks for Love and then shaved her head!

Obviously, the real heroes are the ones that live with this devastating disease, but I am still proud of her and her big heart.

*We had family pictures recently, and I am so curious to see how they came out!  Taking pictures with a toddler and a baby daddy who hates taking pictures is a real treat, let me tell ya.  ;)
