Not so wordless Wednesday

Hello loves.  With the holiday on Monday, this week seems to be flying by.  Which is good, because literally all I do throughout the week is think about my cheat meal on Sunday.  And lust for it.  And mentally imagine what it's going to taste like when I can finally get my paws on it.  Sad much?  Hehe.

We are 1/3 of the way done with our personal training program and I am down ten pounds!  I am so glad to have that weight off (good riddance!) but it definitely makes this mama feel like she was a tad bit chubby pre-training.  With that said, I'm still seventeen pounds away from my goal weight.  How can that be?  My goal weight number seems so small, so I try to focus on my weekly goals (2-3 pounds) instead of the big picture to keep me sane.  That, and my cheat meal!  Haha!

Every week, R and I discuss where we're going to "cheat" for that week.  We've done our favorite burger and pizza joints and now we are gearing up for some yummy Tex Mex because mama is craving some queso big time.  This past weekend I actually got my whole family to go downtown to meet us at the pizza joint, which is no small feat.  Getting the whole family all together is difficult enough due to having three nurses in the family with different work schedules.  But getting them all to actually join us downtown?  It was a minor miracle and we were so pumped about chowing on some of our city's finest pizza.

Except G was a total and complete grump the whole time.  We had to wake him up from his nap to take him (I know, cardinal sin) and he was just not having it.  It's hard to relish your cheat meal when you have an irritable baby you are trying to console between gulps of diet soda and bites of pizza.  Not exactly the experience we had been lusting after all week but now we know not to take G along with us for our cheat meals.

Some of my family members tend to tease me and give me a hard time about trying to schedule things around G's sleeping schedule.  Case in point.

He decided to apologize for his bad behavior and slept from 7:15 until 9:00 a.m. the next day (cue angels singing!).  One of my friends asked me if I was worried that he hadn't woken up at his prescribed 7 a.m. Ummmm no.  I was definitely still in bed relishing some extra zzz's

And just to prove how big of a Mr. Grumps he was being, I took photos with my phone as evidence on the drive home.  Side note: I was sitting in the back to let R's friend sit up front with him and I do not feel at all guilty about taking pics of my crying baby.  Nothing I tried was soothing him, so there wasn't really much else to do.  :)

"Dont' F with my naps!"

And since I really don't want to end this post with pictures of my sweet boy in tears, here are a few from Saturday when he experienced every American child's classic lunch - the pb&j.

Happy hump day!
