Doh!

Rookie parent fail happened today. You would think that I would have learned from my sister's three kids who ALL did this at some point as a baby. But no, we tested our limits and have learned from our mistake.

NEVER, I repeat, never ever lay your baby down for a nap with just a diaper on that is not covered by shorts or pants. Because one day, he (or she) may just have the urge to explore and take that diaper off. And that is when the shit hits the fan. Okay... not literally, but close enough.

It was nasty and I had to take everything off the crib, bumpers and all, and scrub the crib down with sanitizing wipes while R bathed the baby covered in poop.  R's response, "I'm glad it wasn't me who put him down like that."  Gotta love parenthood ... never a dull moment!
