Wednesday (an original title)

Dudes!  Can someone please tell me how a week has already flown by?  And especially how my sweet baby boy is THIRTEEN MONTHS OLD?!?

I know all of you will be so glad (ha!) to hear that our last cheat meal went much more smoothly since we left G at home with the sitter (sorry, buddy!).  I have started adding more cardio (aka running the 'hood) to my workout agenda to up the intensity, and thinking about guilty pleasures in the form of food that's bad for you is surprisingly motivational to keep my feet moving.  Sigh... so sad, but true.

Changing the way I eat hasn't really been that hard.  Honest.  I do miss not really caring about what went in my mouth but I don't miss the extra bits and pieces around my waist, thighs, etc.  Bleh.  So it's a trade off but well worth it, at least in my opinion.  Remember when I considered buying new jeans because I was "in between" sizes of what I already owned?  Well, GAP (P.S. love me some GAP) had a 50% off everything sale, so I caved and bought two pairs - one in a size I could comfortably wear that day, and one in the size smaller that was a little too snug.  Guess what --- now the smaller pair is starting to be too big!  So yeah, eating clean and working out like crazy definitely has its perks.  Just have to remind myself of that on days when my motivation is lacking.  Plus, my trainer has me working out in just sports bras and tiny shorts (gross) so she can see what areas she needs to focus on.  If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is.

One of these days soon, I'll do a post exclusively about what I eat each day.  Please try to contain your excitement.  ;)

In other news, G is still taking his sweet time to walk, which at first admittedly worried me a bit since he was such an early crawler, cruiser, etc.  His pediatrician said not to worry unless he's still not walking by eighteen months and that since he bears weight on his legs, etc., he is fine and completely normal.  Not that I didn't think so ... but it's all to easy to worry about your kids.  Especially as a first time mama.

So we are enjoying our baby gate free house while we can and chasing after G as he crawls and climbs everywhere and everything.

Love this kid so much!
