- My sweet friend and I met up at this yummy sushi diner for lunch on Friday. It was a very unique restaurant. All of the seating was at a circular bar around the prep area where they cook, and they had some interesting and delicious rolls like this one, the Beefy Texan made with brisket (yum!)...
- We had a birthday party on Saturday morning for one of G's little girl friends. They had a traveling petting zoo at their house and G loved the goat! I told R we should get a pet goat, but he didn't seem crazy about the idea. Hehe.
- The other two things he loved at the party besides the friendly goat were the cupcakes (he kept saying "cake" until he finally got one) and the hot pink balloon we got to bring home. For whatever reason, the boy loves him some pink. I'm not sure what started his pink fascination but he usually requests that color if given the choice. I don't care what color he likes - it's sad to me that we have gender stereotypes where boys are supposed to like blue and red and girls are supposed to like pink and purple. No one would think twice if a little girl preferred blue, but they think it's funny when a boy likes pink. I'll just be happy if he can correctly identify all of the colors. :)
- In the span of just a few short days, we went from going to the park dressed like this...
to this...
- My kid is obsessed with the swings at the park. Seriously obsessed. He will happily sit in the swing (if you are pushing him, of course) for a good 30-45 minutes! He loves the slides, too, but he is in a big time swing phase right now. It's probably a good thing we are always the only ones at our neighborhood park because I wouldn't want to be that mom that is hoarding the toddler swing.
- We had our first opportunity to put G in his Halloween costume and he didn't mind wearing it once he heard we were going to get candy. Ha! He kept saying, "Candy!" He makes a pretty good Buzz, don't you think?
- My brother's office goes all out every year for Halloween and they invite the kids to trick-or-treat. This year, he dressed as the Keebler Elf and his girl friend was Cookie Monster.
- Sunday morning breakfasts with my little family always make my heart happy.

He indeed does make a cute Buzz Light Year, so cute and love the costume!
I have to say I love the Keebler/Cookie monster costumes too.
