How on earth did 3 months already whiz by?
Exactly one year ago Little G became a blip on the radar, although I would be clueless about it until 4 weeks later. I had just returned home from South Africa and was anxiously counting down the days until Thanksgiving Break. I was looking forward to our camping trip to Big Bend, and, more importantly, several days off work. I was not even thinking about the possibility of a baby. No way. No how. If someone would have told me that I was pregnant, I would have thought they were crazy! Funny how things change! Little did I know then what BIG changes were in store for me.
Speaking of which, the changes from months two to three have been so fun to watch! It will be interesting to see his growth measurements when we go back to the doc for his 4 month appointment.
G is slowly getting over his Mama attachment, though he still prefers me if he is hungry (duh) or upset. He still LOVES: bath time (and has managed to poop in the bath a few times - he seemed quite content about it but the clean up was DISGUSTING), blowing spit bubbles, and being in the sling, swing, or bouncy.
I am having trouble keeping up with his growing demand for food. He is getting more formula these days because I can't seem to give him enough.
He is wearing 3-6 month sized clothing, except in Ralph Lauren (6 mos) or hats, and wears size 2 diapers.
The biggest accomplishments this past month have been:
-rolling over front to back AND back to front
-sleeping in a crib!!!
-smiling regularly
-cooing
-finding his hands
Dear Boo Boo,
I can't believe how big you are getting! Your smiles are, by far, my favorite part of the day, and Daddy and I can't wait to hear you start laughing. You smile when you see me and it makes my heart melt. You are starting to "talk" to us more and more and I love to hear your little voice.
You are still an easy going, content baby most of the time. You are much happier if someone is near you as you like to be a part of the action! You haven't started sleeping through the night yet, but you are sleeping in a crib, and that in itself is a HUGE milestone.
One year ago I didn't even know about you. Now I can't imagine my life without you. You make me laugh. You make me smile. You make my days so much happier. I love you to the moon and back.
Love,
Mama
p.s. I can't seem to take a picture these days without him blowing spit bubbles!
