Busy

We have been busy lately.  I am still exhausted from our whirl wind weekend, and yet, here I am, typing away at midnight.

We had a low key V-Day, which is very much our style.  I took G up to school, since he is normally home with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and he enjoyed his class party.  We also dropped by my brother's office to hand out some treats, and then we enjoyed some Chick-Fil-A at home together.  Dinner was gluten free pizza with my parents at our house -- romantic, no?  ;)  It was actually perfect, and I went to bed happy with a full tummy.

My sweet valentine - please excuse our messy front porch!
These next two pictures crack me up because this is what typically happens when I ask him to say "cheese" for a picture...

Haha!  He makes me laugh all the time.

Hammin' it up at my brother's office.  He was excited about the lollipop.
We had the privilege of co-hosting a baby shower for our good friends.  It was more of a "sip and see" celebration since Baby Ava made her appearance in early December.

Bad photo pic, but I love LOVE these cute blocks from etsy seller Simple Block Sayings!
R with the guest of honor.  There is something sexy about a guy holding a baby.
Then on Sunday we went to see Sesame Street Live.  This was G's first introduction to sit down entertainment (that is not tv at home, obviously).  He did pretty well and really liked seeing Elmo in person.  You could hear crying kids all around us who, I am sure, were freaked out by the life size characters dancing and singing on stage.  Haha, it was quite the experience and I think we are good with checking that one off the 'ole parent list.

I had a major mom fail moment by not bringing enough snacks (what was I thinking?!?).  We didn't give in and buy the cotton candy, sno cone, or $10 Elmo head balloon, but we did buy a $3.50 bag of M&Ms, which he tried to inhale as quickly as possible.  Winning.

Def not a good pic of us (G looks cute though) ... can you tell it was a little windy??
I can't find our remote control after looking in/under the couch and everywhere else, so I guess that is a sign I should go to bed.
