Busy, but a good busy

Now that it's August, maybe I should try to be a better blogger.  Maybe.

It seems like the things that fill up my days are nothing too blog worthy but a good busy in my book.  Today was spent at swimming lessons (our first one without tears!!!), with friends at a park play date/picnic, taking a three hour long nap (ahhhh... bliss), playing with a cousin, and reading books/bath before bed.

I am officially done with tutoring and will try my best to be productive while G is at school before Little L gets here.  His room hasn't changed much, but things are slowly being purchased to add to the décor and I am hoping that I can put it all together in the next month or so.

I did have R get the baby tubs down from the attic because I had the nesting urge to get out the baby clothes, wash them, and have them properly folded in drawers and hung in his closet.  I knew we had plenty, but I didn't remember the extent until I started pulling things out...

This is just size newborn and 0-3 months (plus a random monkey thrown in the mix, courtesy of G).  R is grateful we are having another boy, and my sis is crossing her fingers that they have a boy and inherit a free wardrobe.

G's two year old clothes have been put away in a tub for baby brother to wear one day, and all of his 3T things are starting to be worn.  It is crazy to me that I have an almost three year old.

Speaking of crazy, his new preschool for this coming school year has an official supply list.

Oh.Em.Gee.  The former teacher in me is giddy but the mama in me makes my bottom lip quiver just slightly when I think about him being old enough for a freakin' supply list.  Ahhh!  Later this month, we will go to the open house where he will get to see his classroom, meet his teacher, and drop off his supplies.  I know the first week will be hard and there will probably be tears (from him).  We have talked about his big boy school and he always says, "Not big boy sook (school).  Ms. Martha's sook."  Ms. Martha is his current teacher that he adores, but he would have to move up to the next classroom anyway.  

Lots of things are happening this month - everyone's birthday (until Little L comes along), new preschool, and Mexico trip for me!

Until then, I will keep filling my days with all of the little things are trying to remember to count my blessings, both big and small.
